Export Packing Operative

Location: Lichfield Road Industrial Estate, Tamworth
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an Export Packing Operative to join our client based on Lichfield Road Industrial Estate.

This is a hands-on role responsible for the manufacture, assembly, packing, and quality checking of bespoke export packaging solutions. The role requires strong attention to detail, accurate measuring, and the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications while maintaining high quality and export compliance standards.

Working Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45

• Friday: 08:00 - 16:00

• £12.71 per hour

• After 40 hours £19.06 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture timber crates, plywood cases, pallets, and cartons to technical specifications and drawings

• Accurately measure and cut materials using hand tools and machinery

• Assemble packaging units using appropriate fixings and techniques

• Ensure all work meets company and export standards

• Pack customer goods safely and securely within bespoke packaging

• Apply protective materials and internal supports as required

• Ensure packaging complies with export and international shipping requirements

• Label and prepare packed goods for dispatch

• Conduct quality checks at all stages of manufacture and packing

• Verify dimensions and specifications against job sheets

• Identify and report defects or inconsistencies

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and presentation

• Operate tools and machinery safely in accordance with training

• Follow manual handling procedures

• Maintain a clean and organised working area
