Role: Animal Care Lecturer
Location: West Yorkshire
Type: Temporary - Part Time
Rate: £30 - £35 per hour

Eden Brown are seeking an experience Animal Care Lecturer for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire.

This is a part time temporary role to start on 13th April until the end of June. The hours are:

- Monday 8.15 to 17.15
- Tuesday 8.15 to 17.00
- Wednesday 8.15 to 17.00

This role would suit someone with a veterinary nursing background, delivering and assessing key animal care units while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Duties

- Deliver and assess animal care programmes to FE learners
- Complete outstanding unit delivery and assessments
- Track student progress and provide feedback
- Maintain course documentation (lesson plans, registers, reports)
- Support curriculum delivery and quality assurance processes

Teaching Requirements

- BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate: Unit 4 Animal Husbandry (complete LO C + assess)
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma: Unit 17 Principles of Animal Nursing (complete delivery + assess)
- iPET Level 3 Dog Grooming: Unit 307 Canine Emergency First Aid (complete delivery + assess)

Requirements

- Veterinary nursing or strong animal care industry background
- Teaching experience in FE or training
- Relevant qualification (Level 4+) and teaching qualification (or working towards)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
