Senior Marketing Executive, Cowley, Oxfordto £33,000, full time, office based.

Global CTS Recruitment is delighted to be working with a new client who are a leading subscription agency for online resource for schools worldwide - providing a sales, marketing and subscription service for leading academic publishers of quality online resources.

We are seeking an experienced Marketing person to join a super team of 10 people in this friendly, down to earth and welcoming business. With two direct reports, this is a great opportunity to join a thriving business.

You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in all parts of the business and get the chance to contribute ideas for how we grow and develop. The standard work pattern is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm but start/end times can be adjusted, plenty of free parking (including charging points), secure bicycle parking, close to bus stops and easy walking distance to the Cowley Retail Park and Temple Cowley shopping centre.

About the role:

  • Work with the MD and the Sales Manager to develop a digital marketing strategy to promote the online resources available from the publishers they represent - as well as promoting the service
  • Responsible for implementing the strategy and its plans with the marketing team
  • Manage a team of two (one P/T and 1 F/T) and work closely with the Sales Manager to ensure the marketing activities are driving a high level of enquiries to support them in hitting their quarterly revenue targets

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Writing engaging copy for promotional emails, new product launches, e-newsletters, Facebook posts and tweets for each sector
  • Writing copy for the website and updating pages to maintain an up-to-date site - WordPress
  • Preparing and organising production of any digital marketing collateral and product support material
  • Commissioning blogs and case studies from sector experts
  • Developing and implementing digital marketing strategies, including social media and email marketing, SEO, and SEM
  • Measuring key performance metrics, including website traffic, audience engagement, service quotas, bounce rate and ad spend ROI
  • Building and maintaining the profile of the company across multiple social media channels
  • Tracking, measuring, improving, and reporting the performance of digital marketing campaigns
  • Supporting the sales team in producing product specific webinars and demos

Role requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B marketing including some digital marketing
  • Degree in marketing, journalism or other relevant fields
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience of content management, automated marketing systems and contact data management
  • Experience of developing and executing marketing plans and digital strategies
  • Working experience of website analytics, social media platforms, digital advertising practices and SEO
  • Experience of using WordPress
  • Some experience of managing or leading a small team but management training will be provided

The package:

  • Subject to company and personal performance, a discretionary annual bonus is payable after the first 12 months’ employment.
