Agera Energy is a leading retail electricity and natural gas supplier to business customers. The open sales role will focus on hunting and closing business end-users through various means and achieve customer satisfaction through providing a long-term energy strategy.
The role is new business development, not account management. Those wanting to maintain an existing base of customers with limited upsell need not apply. Prior energy experience not required. What is required is a desire to exceed expectations, the ability to successfully work in a remote environment and, most importantly, ensure a steady flow of direct business.
Travel throughout the region and to the Corporate Office, on occasion (2-3x/year) in Briarcliff Manor, New York, is required as needed.
Details of the Role:
- Building relationships with new prospects, high conversion to closed sales
- Multiple avenues to pursue prospects include cold calling, warm network, social media use, networking (functions, events, etc.)
- Remote role, home-based. New York City-area sales are required to be in-office once per week at a minimum. Other regional positions once per month/quarter as required depending on location
- Must be able to articulate Agera's energy solutions to a variety of business customer types and help customers navigate what can be complex energy decisions and turn them into simple financial decisions
- LED and value-added products positioned to ideal customer candidates
- Ability to understand key metrics and plan days, weeks, months and quarters competently to achieve desired sales outcomes
- 2-4 years Business to Business sales; hunter sales role, inside or outside sales
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or increased levels of prior work experience
- Ability to travel regionally, daily
- High-energy, ability to work successfully in a remote capacity, self-driven
- Proficient in computer programs such as: Microsoft Office, CRM Systems, basic web
