Job Title: Bench Joiner
Location: Kingston Upon Thames

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Bench Joiner to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work primarily in our workshop, producing high-quality, bespoke joinery components for retail fit-outs, point-of-sale (POS) displays, window installations, and commercial interiors. You will play a crucial role in delivering projects that reflect our clients' brand and design expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manufacture bespoke joinery items to technical drawings, including retail counters, display units, POS stands, and feature walls.

* Interpret and work from CAD drawings, cutting lists, and design specifications with precision.

* Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.

* Assemble components with high levels of finish and attention to detail.

* Work with materials such as MDF, laminates, veneers, and solid timber.

* Collaborate with the design and project teams to ensure consistency and feasibility of production.

* Maintain a clean and organised workspace and adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.

* Carry out occasional on-site fitting or assist with installation teams as needed.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Bench Joiner, preferably in shopfitting or retail display sectors.

* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

* Proficient in the use of woodworking machinery and hand tools.

* Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.

* Understanding of materials commonly used in commercial joinery.

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work to deadlines.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

* NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent qualification preferred.

Desirable:

* Experience with solid surface fabrication (e.g., Corian).

* Familiarity with CNC routing or edge banding machinery.
