Job Title: Plasterer (with Plumbing Experience)

Company Overview:

Our client is a well-established maintenance and repairs contractor specialising in the social housing sector, delivering high-quality services to housing associations and local authorities across the Midlands. They are currently seeking a skilled Plasterer with basic plumbing experience to join their growing team in Birmingham.

Role Overview:

This is a varied role where you'll primarily carry out plastering work with the addition of basic plumbing tasks across tenanted and void properties. You will play a vital part in ensuring homes are maintained to a high standard, offering both technical skill and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out all aspects of plastering, including:

Skimming, bonding, patch repairs, and full wall/ceiling coverage

Perform basic plumbing tasks such as:

Replacing taps, fixing leaks, unblocking sinks, changing waste traps, etc.

Conduct repairs and maintenance in both occupied and vacant properties

Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health & safety regulations

Communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues

Maintain accurate job records and reports

Use and care for provided van, tools, and materials appropriately

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience in plastering across domestic/residential properties

Basic plumbing knowledge and hands-on experience

Full UK driving licence - van provided

Good communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Experience working in social housing or similar environments is a strong advantage

Desirable Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plastering or Multi-Trade Operations

City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent basic plumbing certification)

CSCS Card

Basic DBS check (or willingness to undertake one)
