The Burford Recruitment Company are working with a highly reputable organisation based in Witney to recruit a Human Resources & Health & Safety Manager - a critical role that blends strategic HR leadership with a strong focus on compliance and employee wellbeing.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will act as the go-to expert for all things HR and Health & Safety. You'll play a key role in driving engagement, overseeing recruitment, advising on employee relations, and ensuring robust compliance with employment and H&S regulations.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead HR strategy development and implementation

* Manage recruitment processes from advertising to onboarding

* Provide expert advice on employment law, pay, benefits, and wellbeing

* Develop and implement policies, employee handbooks, and internal procedures

* Oversee health & safety compliance in partnership with external consultants

* Support management with training, appraisals, and performance planning

* Champion employee engagement and a positive workplace culture

What We're Looking For

* Strong HR management experience

* CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience

* A solid understanding of H&S legislation and HR best practice

* Confident working autonomously and advising senior stakeholders

* Proficient in MS Office and modern HR systems

* A proactive, solution-focused mindset
