Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 38.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

Manage complex planning enforcement cases independently.

Handle planning enforcement appeals and present cases.

Attend court for enforcement cases as needed.

Provide guidance to customer service advisors and caseworkers.

Keep updated with legislation, best practices, and policies.

Collaborate with colleagues, members, and stakeholders.

Update information systems accurately, following data protection rules.

Respond to customer inquiries and correspondence.

Participate in corporate or community projects, offering specialist advice.

Contribute to process reviews and policy development.

Work outside regular hours if necessary.

Person Specifications

Must Have

Experience in planning enforcement.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.

Ability to handle complex cases and provide sound advice.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.

Nice to Have

Degree in a relevant subject.

Experience with planning enforcement systems.

Experience in casework within planning enforcement.

Knowledge of Environmental Health law.

Experience in mentoring or coaching junior staff.
