Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations, the Children's Home Deputy Manager will lead, motivate, and develop the staff team to ensure delivery of high-quality care. Upholding safeguarding standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and driving positive outcomes for children and young people will be core aspects of the role. The Deputy Manager will build effective relationships with families and external professionals, oversee care planning, audits, and quality assurance processes. Additionally, the role involves supporting rota planning and staff coordination to maintain smooth operational running.
Requirements
Candidates should have previous experience working within a children's residential home environment and be confident in leading or supervising teams. A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and the regulations governing children's homes is essential. Excellent communication skills and organisational abilities are vital for success in this role. A Level 3 Children & Young People qualification is required, with Level 5 or a willingness to work towards this desirable.
