Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking confident and proactive Primary Cover Supervisors to support a range of primary schools across Bedford. This role is perfect for those with classroom experience or aspiring teachers who want to build skills in a supportive school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into classes when the regular teacher is absent. All lessons are pre-planned - your role is to deliver the material, keep pupils engaged, and maintain a calm, productive classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absence

Following provided lesson plans to ensure continuity of learning

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Reporting any issues or highlights from the day to staff

Requirements:

Experience working with children, ideally in a school or education setting

Strong communication and classroom management skills

A calm, confident, and flexible approach

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
