This role is based in a specialist SEN class, providing essential support to pupils with Autism, helping them thrive and reach their full potential.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Support
Waterloo, Liverpool
Temporary to Permanent Position
The Role
Deliver one-to-one and small group support tailored to children with Autism
Implement and track progress against EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan) targets
Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure an inclusive classroom environment
Promote development of communication and social interaction skills
Support students in managing sensory needs and behaviours effectively
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children with Autism (ideally in a school setting)
Knowledge of EHCPs and ability to support individual learning goals
A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with SEN
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
