Semi-Skilled Sheet Metal Operative

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 - regular overtime. No weekend work Van driving experience helpful

The Role

We are currently looking for a Semi-Skilled Sheet Metal Operative to join our growing client based in Luton. They have been a leader in the sheet metal industry for over 50 years and are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to add to our existing, strong workforce.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 years' experience within the sheet metal industry, preferably more.

Required Skills:

* You must be able to read and understand 2D and 3D drawings, to understand the use of patterns and cutting lists.

* Skills including metal shearing, punching and forming would be essential

* Knowledge of Tig/Mig welding would be an advantage but not essential.

* You will be able to work within a team or on your own.

Other attributes required:

* Health & Safety conscious.

* Able to work within a team or on their own.

* Good team player.

* Flexibility (overtime as required)

* Excellent time keeping.

We are looking for someone ambitious with a willingness to learn and grow within the company. You will be put through full training over time for this role, with the view of becoming a Skilled Sheet Metal Operative. Whilst full training will be provided you must have at least one years experience within the sheet metal industry.
