Warehouse Operative (Polish Speaking)

Location: Salford, Surrey

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Rate: £13.75 per hour

Please note: Due to the warehouse management computer system being operated in Polish, applicants must be able to speak and understand Polish to carry out daily duties effectively.

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team in Salford, Surrey. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.

This role requires strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, unloading, and checking incoming deliveries
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Accurately labelling and storing stock in designated locations
• Using the warehouse computer system (in Polish) to process orders and update stock records
• Conducting regular stock checks and inventory control
• Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks, forklifts where licensed)
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Following company health and safety procedures at all times
• Reporting damaged goods or discrepancies to supervisors

Requirements

• Ability to speak and understand Polish (essential)
• Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential
• Good level of physical fitness (role involves lifting and manual handling)
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
• Right to work in the UK
