Are you a dedicated and dynamic Key Stage 2 Teacher ready to guide pupils through a pivotal stage of their learning journey?

We are seeking passionate KS2 Teachers to join vibrant primary schools across Blackpool and Fylde, starting September 2025. We are offering long-term temporary contract roles ranging from 1-3 terms in length, Monday - Friday. Pay for this role will fall between M1-6 pro rata. This is an exciting opportunity for educators committed to fostering academic progress and personal development in children aged 7-11 (Years 3-6).

About the KS2 Role:

Key Stage 2 is a crucial period where children transition from foundation learning to more complex, subject-specific concepts, culminating in national SATs in Maths and English. As a KS2 Teacher, you will be instrumental in:

  • Educating children across the full breadth of the National Curriculum, including advanced mathematical concepts, scientific inquiry, and further developing literacy and writing skills built in KS1.
  • Introducing and supporting pupils' adaptation to new subjects and a larger workload, such as Religious Education (where applicable).
  • Preparing pupils for national assessments (SATs), equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to demonstrate their progress.
  • Actively participating in wider school life, including staff meetings, parent-teacher consultations, and planning/supervising engaging school trips.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong track record of successful teaching in Key Stage 2.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum across all subjects.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and prepare pupils for academic milestones.
  • Excellent classroom management skills that promote a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.

Essential Qualities for Success:

This rewarding role requires more than just subject knowledge; it demands exceptional personal attributes:

  • A profound passion for teaching and working with children, inspiring their curiosity and desire to learn.
  • Patience and adaptability to support children learning at their own pace, providing encouragement and tailored assistance.
  • Strong organisational skills to effectively manage your workload, planning, and classroom activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
