HGV Technician

Salary £20 to £23 per hour (depending on experience.)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading UK HGV Truck company, for an experienced HGV Technician based in Winwick Cheshire .

Description

HGV Technician - Key Responsibilities

MOT Inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGV trailers

Diagnose and repair Electronic Braking Systems (EBS)

Ensure trailers meet DVSA and roadworthiness standards

Accurately complete all compliance, inspection, and maintenance documentation

Adhere to all health & safety regulations

Attend manufacturer and technical training courses as required

Industry-recognised qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent)

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment

Knowledge of axle manufacturers such as BPW, SAF, and JOST

Experience with double-deck and tail lift trailer maintenance

IRTEC accreditation desirable but not essential

HGV Technician - Benefits

Competitive salary £20 to £23

8hrs per day with a paid lunch break.

Saturday is based on Time and a half.

Shift 1 Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm

Shift 2 Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm

Saturday 6am - 12pm

Minimum 40 hours per week

33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
