Join a dynamic Sustainability team as a Sustainability BREEAM Consultant, where you will drive projects, enhance client relationships, and focus on developing new business initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work across various sectors, providing BREEAM and sustainability consultancy services, with the potential for increased responsibility and autonomy as you develop professionally.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Undertake BREEAM, WELL, NABERS, LEED and Fitwel assessments.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring they are delivered on budget and on time.
- Act as the Sustainability Consultant and BREEAM AP, working closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to deliver key sustainability objectives.
- Provide high-quality consultancy services, offering clear guidance and recommendations to help projects realise their potential.
- Develop and present compelling sustainability-related presentations to contribute to the built environment sector.
- Engage in Continual Professional Development through technical journals, seminars, and in-house training to enhance technical and operational knowledge.
Management responsibilities:
- Monitor workload against deliverables and report to the line manager.
- Maintain high levels of communication, ensuring clarity both internally and externally.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance procedures and maintain good relationships with project stakeholders.
- Take accountability for client-facing consultancy services, liaising with clients and other stakeholders to obtain necessary technical and operational information.
- Keep project documentation up-to-date and comply with file management protocols.
- Mentor and train junior staff members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Accredited and experienced BREEAM Assessor and/or BREEAM AP.
- Relevant BSc or MSc in an environmental or construction discipline.
- Extensive experience in building environmental assessments and certifications such as BREEAM, WELL, NABERS, LEED.
- Knowledge of building performance and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tools.
- Experience with thermal modelling and building physics studies including daylight studies, thermal comfort, and overheating studies SBEM, SAP etc.
- Proven track record in client relationship management and project management within a consulting environment.
