Role Overview

As a National Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating and expanding strategic relationships, identifying high-value commercial opportunities, and offering tailored technical solutions from a leading product portfolio. This role requires a blend of high-level sales leadership and technical consultancy, leveraging both commercial expertise and a robust understanding of engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive market growth and increase revenue

Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, establishing trust and loyalty

*

Identify customer needs and deliver bespoke solutions from a wide-ranging technical product portfolio

*

Conduct client site visits, provide in-depth technical consultations, and lead solution presentations

*

Collaborate closely with internal teams including engineering, operations, and marketing to support the entire sales lifecycle

*

Ensure accurate documentation and maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system

*

Represent the business at industry events and exhibitions, promoting products and fostering new opportunities

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in B2B technical sales or business development, ideally in industrial or engineering sectors

Strong ability to engage with clients at all levels, from technical to senior management

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

*

Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)

*

Excellent presentation and client engagement skills, with a solutions-focused mindset

Qualifications

*

Recognised mechanical or electrical engineering qualification (essential)

*

A deep understanding of electromechanical systems (essential)

*

Full UK driving licence (essential)

*

Mobius/BINDT ISO18436 Category I certification (desirable)

*

Experience in condition monitoring or predictive maintenance (advantageous)
