Cover Supervisor

Are you an experienced classroom professional looking for a new challenge in a supportive and engaging primary school? We are seeking a committed and confident Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant Hackney school, starting this September.

Our school fosters a welcoming and respectful environment built on strong values of tolerance, kindness, and inclusion. We deliver a rich and relevant curriculum that blends rigorous teaching of core knowledge with exciting and creative learning opportunities.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring classroom continuity and pupil engagement, stepping in when teachers are absent to deliver pre-set lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 1 (and occasionally Key Stage 2)
• Maintain classroom discipline and behaviour expectations
• Work closely with a Teaching Assistant assigned to each session
• Follow a structured timetable with no planning required
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff across the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working in a classroom or school setting (essential)
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, firm approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• A resilient, hard-working attitude and the flexibility to adapt
• Confidence and presence to lead a class independently

Position Details:

• Full-time preferred (Monday-Friday), but 4 days will be considered
• Working hours: 8:15am - 4:00pm
• Long-term, permanent opportunity with ongoing support and development

If you're a dedicated Cover Supervisor who can manage behaviour effectively while maintaining a positive and safe learning space, we want to hear from you.
