We are looking for a Textiles Teacher to join the team at a supportive secondary school in Cannock. The school needs a Textiles Teacher to teach predominantly textiles, with some Food Technology, and Art lessons on the timetable. This is a part time role, starting from September 2021.

About the School:

The school is a mainstream secondary school, which houses pupils aged 11-18, with a mainstream curriculum. The school has exceptional facilities and a supportive and definitive departmental system allowing all students and members of staff to flourish and develop in their very own section of the school. The successful Textiles Teacher will have their own classroom where they will be able to prepare resources for their lessons.

About the Role:

The successful Textiles Teacher will have experience of planning and teaching a Textiles at KS3 and KS4, experience of delivering Food Technology and Art is also desirable. To be considered for the Textiles Teacher position, you must hold QTS, and have had experience in this role within a secondary school.

Key Responsibilities of a Textiles Teacher:

* Secure a high quality of teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the curriculum leaders, and school leaders.

* Teach a well-planned Textiles, Food Technology and Art Lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils.

* Support and encourage children into achieving the best results they can.

* Abide by all school policies to ensure consistency for pupils at the school.
