Job Overview
The Best Connection are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Goods In/Order Picker. This role will involve handling goods in, order picking, and supporting general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be computer literate, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders
- Inspecting goods for damage and reporting discrepancies
- Booking stock into the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Accurately picking and packing customer orders
- Labelling and preparing goods for dispatch
- Updating stock records and maintaining accurate inventory data
- Using handheld scanners and warehouse computer systems
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe
- Assisting with stock takes and cycle counts
- Following all health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous warehouse experience (goods in and/or order picking preferred)
- Computer literate with experience using warehouse systems or basic Microsoft Office
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence
- Experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment
