As our Learning Development Manager you will provide world class LD support to a sales team of 200 Business Consultants. Covering all stages of the learning cycle, this position will focus on bringing a technical understanding of investment and pension products, equipping our sales teams to deal professionally with wealth advisers.

Responsibilities as our Learning Development Manager include:

- Setting the training agenda within the investment business, designing solutions, and then driving individual outcomes and team-wide performance through your insight and skills

- Working within the sales training team, building excellent working relationships with other teams/ resources

- Building investments and pensions knowledge within our sales teams

- Liaising with the business to produce a training plan which supports implementation of the investment /pension business,

- Consult with Head of LD and other stakeholders to ensure accurate understanding of training needs

- Ensure learning interventions meet compliance, skills, and TC requirements

- Constant evaluation and review of training material and delivery methods

- Act as a product knowledge expert for the sales team

- Participate and support other initiatives as part of the Learning and Development team

Skills and Experience required of our Learning Development Manager:

- Qualified / experienced at degree level

- Level 4 qualified

- Experience with advising on investment and pensions products

- Certificate in Training Practice or equivalent experience

- Experience of achieving sales success in a financial services environment (desirable)

- Experience of delivering learning interventions containing complex technical concepts (desirable)

- Experience in designing and delivery management development and soft skills training (desirable)


- Self motivated, confident, articulate individual

- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent Word /PowerPoint skills

- Comfortable presenting to groups of people

- Ability to simplify and retain technical detail

- Ability to multi-task and prioritise activities

- Able to deliver technical information in a meaningful and memorable manner

- Excellent communication and presenting skills

- Strong training design and development capabilities

- Proven people influencing and sales skills

- Good leadership and motivational skills

- Coaching, facilitation and feedback skills
