Senior Electrical Design Engineer / Manager (Permanent)

We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an established M&E contractor based in Bridgend. This is a permanent opportunity offering long‑term stability, a varied project portfolio, and the chance to play a key role within a growing design team.
The position suits an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who enjoys hands‑on design work while supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver electrical design solutions across multiple projects
* Produce detailed electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
* Manage design workloads, priorities, and resources
* Support and mentor junior engineers within the design team
* Liaise with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders
* Ensure designs meet relevant standards, regulations, and best practice
* Contribute to continuous improvement of design quality and processes
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or similar (or equivalent experience)
* Strong experience in electrical design within building services or M&E contracting
* Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software
* Good understanding of UK electrical standards and regulations
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
