Essential Recruitment are seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Operatives for our a company based in Ollerton!

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic individual to join our client's team in the position of Manufacturing Operative on a straight permanent basis.

As an Manufacturing Operative, you will play a vital role in supporting the plant operations, promoting Health and Safety standards, and ensuring the smooth running of machinery. You will be responsible for various cleaning tasks and assisting in production support to enhance overall efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

* Perform all cleaning tasks safely and in compliance with Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.

* Clean around the machines and ensure all debris is cleared (Can be very tight spaces or dark and mucky).

* Carry out daily vacuuming of dust from the production area floor to reduce exposure and silica levels.

* Re-stock and clean toilet and shower areas regularly.

* Communicate with the storeman regarding stock levels and any requirements needed for the site.

* Process overalls for cleaning and distribution, ensuring they are returned to relevant workstations.

* Assist in the re-bagging of stock when instructed, including lifting, shrink-wrapping, and re-stocking products.

* Empty waste bins from workstations and dispose of them in the correct bins.

* Unload deliveries and store stock safely and securely.

* Report any health and safety concerns to the shift supervisor or management.

* Ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times.

* Complete pre-start checks on vehicles, logging daily reports and notifying the production foreman of any defects.

* Be aware of emergency procedures and act accordingly in case of an emergency.

* Safely drive vehicles on-site, adhering to best practices and qualifications.

We are looking for someone with a “Can Do” attitude and will not see any job as too big or small. You must understand the importance of Health and Safety as this is a really important value for our client.
