About the Role

The Fortune group are recruiting for a Head of IT Operations to join our finanical services client. Suitable candidates will oversee global IT Infrastructure Operations, ensuring stability, resilience, and continuous improvement globally. This is a pivotal role in a fast-paced trading environment, combining operational excellence with strategic service enhancements that directly support business success.

What You’ll Do

• Lead IT Operations: Manage day-to-day infrastructure operations and drive service improvements across multiple technology domains.
• Capacity & Lifecycle Management: Oversee resource planning and ensure timely hardware/software lifecycle management.
• Vendor Partnerships: Build strong relationships with key providers, conduct service reviews, and optimize costs.
• Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Develop and execute robust BCP/DR strategies to maintain resilience.
• Data Center Oversight: Ensure efficient operations, capacity planning, and maintenance across global facilities.
• Governance & Reporting: Provide clear visibility on incidents, risks, and operational health to senior leadership.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of experience in IT Operations across diverse technology areas.
• Proven track record managing infrastructure teams and outsourced providers.
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, lifecycle management, and data center operations.
• Knowledge of BCP/DR planning and execution.
• Collaborative leadership style with excellent communication and vendor management skills.
