The role & what you will learn:
This role is based at our head of office in the centre of London, with a lovely view of the River Thames.
The Business Developer is an integral part of our busy and friendly Sales and Marketing team. Working alongside 4 Marketing Executives analysts and reporting the Marketing Manager, you will be providing a PA role to the Directors of the business and assisting the marketing department with market research and marketing engagement activities.
·Keeping track of sales pipeline activities and interacting with relevant parts of the business to seek updates and keep the Plan-Net CRM up to date.
·Meet and exceed the booking meetings targets for Senior Managers with known client contacts via phone and email – persistence required!
·Build rapport with Tier 1 clients by phone and emails.
·Assisting the Marketing Manager with general marketing activities and campaigns
·Seeking to understand the Plan-Net business and how you fit in, and using initiative when performing activities and contributing to our market research activities.
·Excellent time management
·Ability to build strong relationship with Senior Managers by phone and email
·Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota in sales
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Excellent MS Word and Excel ability
·An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
·Marketing and business development experience within professional services
·Consulting and managing relationships with senior stakeholders
·Proven track record of working in a complex, matrix or multi-faceted environment
·Strong entrepreneurial experience and goal-driven focus.
·An ability to work independently and as part of a team
·Excellent communication skills are necessary - in particular a high level of written and spoken English. Must be capable of interacting with client board members and other senior clients.
·Influencing skills - as a Business Developer will need to be able to put his/her views across clearly and have the confidence to challenge high profile stakeholders to book meetings
·Demonstrate a strong level of emotional intelligence, experience of managing complex situations successfully.
·Ability to develop strong and effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
·Creativity and the ability to work collaboratively to reach innovative solutions
·Ability to deal with a degree of ambiguity and use own initiative

·This role will give you direct experience of fundathe mentals of B2B marketing, sales and client engagement in the IT sector
