Minimum requirements for Design Technology Teacher candidates :

Be confident in teaching Design Technology to GCSE and A-Level standards.
Have previous teaching experience which can be referenced (can include training placements).
Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Possess an Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service or essentially be willing to apply for one with GSL Education. 
 
Responsibilities of an Design Technology Teacher include:

Planning and delivering Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level Design Technology
Helping deliver a highly engaging and creative Design Technology curriculum.
Engaging young people adopting all means available
Complying with to the school's policy on behaviour management and encouraging positive behaviour all throughout the school.
Encouraging all students to learn independently.
Participating in staff training days, meetings, and parent's evenings whenever required.
