Lloyd Recruitment Services are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly professional, well established Fire Safety Consultancy that seek a Fire Engineer to provide consultancy services to a wide range of clients within the construction sector and for clients with operational businesses.

Due to continued growth, our client seeks a skilled and knowledgeable Fire Engineer to join their dynamic team. The Fire Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fire safety and a strong technical background in fire engineering principles.

The role involves Qualitative Design Reviews of construction projects at RIBA stages, acting a FE at part of the design group on interesting construction projects. Plus creating Fire Strategy Plans, Fire Safety Case reports for new builds project, HRRBs and retrospective plans on operational buildings.

There will be a requirement for travel to client sites throughout the UK however predominantly in London and the South East. You will also have the opportunity for hybrid working.

Experience/Qualifications required:

Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in fire engineering, including fire risk assessments and design of fire safety systems.
Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., Building Regulations, BS 9999, NFPA codes).
Proficiency in fire engineering software and tools (e.g., FDS, CFD, AutoCAD).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and project teams.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartered status (e.g., CEng, IEng).
Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., Institution of Fire Engineers, Society of Fire Protection Engineers) is desirable
