Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Temp)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-maintained office building in Central London on a 3-month temporary contract.

Working on behalf of the landlord, you will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, ensuring all systems are operating efficiently and in line with compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems

*

Attend and resolve reactive maintenance issues

*

Fault finding on mechanical plant and associated systems

*

Maintenance of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, valves, and pipework

*

Monitor plant performance and report any issues

*

Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations

*

Liaise with site management and other engineers where required

*

Complete job reports and documentation accurately

Requirements

*

Relevant mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)

*

Proven experience within a commercial maintenance / FM environment

*

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

*

Experience working on HVAC and mechanical plant

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

*

Good communication and client-facing skills
