We are seeking reliable, hardworking, and dedicated School Cleaners to support the cleanliness and safety of school environments. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of hygiene across classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas.

About the Role

As a School Cleaner, you will ensure the school is clean, safe, and ready for staff and pupils each day. Roles may be available before school, after school, or during school hours depending on the setting.

Responsibilities

Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas

Empty bins and dispose of waste safely

Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors

Wipe down desks, touchpoints, and equipment

Refill cleaning supplies and report low stock levels

Ensure all cleaning tasks meet health & safety standards

Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial preferred)

Good understanding of hygiene and health & safety procedures

Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Desirable Skills

Experience working in a school or educational setting

Knowledge of COSHH regulations

Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
