We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are a leading Manufacturing within the Pipe Industry based in Oldbury that are looking to expand their workforce and recruiting for a skilled and experienced Multiskilled Machinist.

Key Responsibilities

* Safely transport raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the shop floor using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as appropriate

* Stage materials for welders according to job orders and production schedules.

* Assist with loading and unloading trucks or deliveries as needed.

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of material storage areas and workstations.

* Support welders and other trades by fetching tools, consumables, and equipment as required.

* Communicate with supervisors and welders to prioritize material movement and ensure workflow continuity.

* Monitor inventory levels of materials and report shortages or damaged items to the supervisor.

* Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

* Perform other general labour duties as assigned.

* Able to use basic maths and English skills to complete paperwork and/or work machines e'g band saw.

Qualifications & Skills

* Previous experience in a fabrication, welding, or manufacturing environment preferred.

* Ability to safely operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment (training or certification a bonus)

* Strong awareness of shop safety practices and PPE requirements.

* Good physical fitness; able to lift and move materials

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team-oriented environment.

* Basic understanding of welding or fabrication processes an advantage.

Pay:

£13.00/hour

Hours of Work:

08:00 - 16:30
