Cordius are working with a market leader in the Aerospace and Military industries based in Whitstable, Kent. They are a leading global interconnect Fortune 500 specialist company, who are continuing to grow and significantly invest in the future. They are now looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities

General and task management

* Record, monitor, summarise, and report Quality scorecards for the senior Management Team.

* Provide and support a framework for data analysis and continual improvement based on quality key performance indicators.

* Conduct and facilitate customer and third-party quality audits.

* Responsible for directing NCR activities beginning with audit and customer refunds.

* Support the Engineering team of the organisation with data and a framework for internal defect investigations.

* Manage the calibration of the company's equipment. Ensure that our external calibration suppliers calibrate all equipment in a timely manner.

* Responsible for maintaining the internal visual standards of the organisation based on internal and consumer feedback.

* Responsible for maintaining and improving the quality procedures of the organisation.

* Advise others on effective strategies for improving procedures.

* Responsible for predicting future quality risks and trends and advising senior management on appropriate countermeasures and solutions based on these risks.

* Direct the organization's internal audit programme.

* Developing and issuing FAIR reports per AS9102.

People management

* Train other members of the workgroup.

* Support engineers and technicians.

Relationship management

* Establish and maintain solid relationships with internal and external constituents to guarantee optimal performance.

* Coordinate and communicate with other departments, clients, vendors, and service providers.

* Diplomatic approach to interpersonal relations.

* Communicate effectively with the shop floor staff and with management.

Skills and Experience

* Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role

* In-depth understanding of technical documentation

* Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

* Good analytical skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
