Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

About the Role

SparkEd Recruitment is working in partnership with a supportive and progressive school in the Redruth area to appoint dedicated Learning Mentors. This role involves supporting pupils across Key Stages 1 through 4, with a focus on those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Students may present with a range of SEMH needs, including challenging behaviour, anxiety, depression, and experiences of trauma. Your role will be to provide consistent, compassionate support to help them engage with learning and reach their full potential.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who are:

• Adaptable, positive, and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
• Patient, resilient, and committed to making a difference in students’ lives
• Interested in working with children with complex needs, including Autism and ADHD

Previous school-based experience is not essential. We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, including graduates and those with experience in childcare, psychology, youth work, or social care. Full training will be provided.
