The Role of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

Supporting students with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, social-emotional needs, and complex learning difficulties
Working alongside skilled teachers and therapists in small, focused classes
Encouraging communication, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
Helping students engage with learning in creative and tailored ways
Being a consistent, calming presence in a child's school day

Ideal candidates might be:

Experienced support staff or teaching assistants
Former care workers, youth mentors, or nursery nurses
Graduates exploring a career in education
Individuals with lived experience of SEN or a strong desire to learnWe also welcome applications from those looking to change careers into education.
