Daily Rate: £105 - £115 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) | 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Long-term to permanent

About the Role

Long Term Futures are working with a friendly, inclusive primary school in Derby (DE22) to recruit a confident and proactive Intervention Teaching Assistant.

This full-time role involves delivering interventions to pupils with special educational needs, including those with EHCPs, as well as children working below age-related expectations. You'll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to plan and deliver structured, tailored support across core subjects, emotional regulation, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, both academic and social/emotional
Adapt resources and teaching styles to meet individual learning needs
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to monitor progress
Use visuals, routines, and behaviour strategies to create a positive environment
Provide consistent, nurturing support that helps build pupil confidence and independenceWhat We're Looking For

Minimum of 1 year's experience in a primary school (essential)
Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs
Confident in delivering interventions and adapting materials
Qualified to Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, HLTA, or relevant degree
Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive approach
Familiarity with key strategies such as PECS, visual timetables, or social stories (desirable)Why Work with Long Term Futures?
