Supplier and Quality Coordinator
Swadlincote, UK
Full Time | Permanent | Travel Required (UK & International)

Are you passionate about quality and compliance? Do you thrive in a role that mixes hands-on audits with supplier engagement? Looking for a role where you can grow and be supported every step of the way?

SF Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a trusted supplier, to support them with their search of a new Supplier and Quality Coordinator - this is a unique opportunity for someone with the right attitude, ambition, and a foundation in quality processes to truly make a mark.

About the Role

As the Supplier and Quality Coordinator, you'll play a vital dual role:
- 60% Supplier Auditing: Conducting supplier audits across the UK, Europe, India, and China to ensure compliance with quality standards when it comes to company products alongside other areas such as sustainability, ethical sourcing, and industry regulations (including modern slavery, environmental standards, etc.) when considering supplier partnerships.
- 40% Internal Quality: Supporting in-house inspections, understanding quality issues, and collaborating with internal teams to improve processes and resolve supplier quality concerns.

You'll become the face of the business to their supply base - someone who can get under the skin of a supplier's operations and bring back insights that drive real change.

Skills & Experience
- Some experience in quality assurance, auditing, or supplier management - ideally within rail, manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace sectors.
- Ability to carry out supplier audits and produce clear, actionable reports.
- Good grasp of compliance frameworks and auditing beyond just the product (e.g., ethical sourcing, environmental impact).
- IT savvy - especially strong with reporting and documentation.
- Understanding of IRIS (rail industry standard) is a huge bonus but not essential

The Right Personality
- Confident - someone who can own their role, speak up, and take initiative.
- Personable - able to build relationships with suppliers across cultures.
- Curious and Ambitious - not just here for a job, but ready to grow.
- Flexible and Adaptable - understands real-world manufacturing isn't always black and white

What You'll Get
- Thorough induction and training - support and development from day one.
- Opportunity to develop into a leadership role over time - including H&S exposure and long-term succession potential.
- International travel - all travel booked in advance and fully expensed.
- A supportive manager who enjoys mentoring and developing talent.
- A chance to be more than just this role - this is a springboard for someone who wants more.
