Daytime Healthcare are assisting a Children's Home based in Birmingham to find an experienced Registered Manager to join the team.

As the Registered Manager, you will oversee two children's homes in Birmingham supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a fantastic opportunity to lead from the front in a dual-home setup, ensuring consistent, high-quality care across both services.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the day-to-day management of two EBD children's homes (both these homes are on the same road and located within 5 minutes of each other).

* Lead, support, and develop two teams to provide a therapeutic, child-centred environment.

* Maintain full compliance with Ofsted and Children's Homes Regulations.

* Design and manage personalised care plans that meet each child's emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.

* Take overall responsibility for safeguarding in both homes.

* Recruit, mentor, and train staff across both homes, promoting a trauma-informed and learning-focused culture.

* Work in partnership with local authorities, social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.

* Manage rotas, staffing, budgets, and resources across both settings.

Requirements:

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

* Minimum 2 years in a senior role within children's residential care.

* Sound understanding of trauma-informed care and safeguarding legislation.

* Full driving licence preferred due to travel between homes and emergency cover responsibilities.

Previous Experience:

* Excellent knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, safeguarding law, and Ofsted expectations.

* Proven experience supporting young people with EBD/challenging behaviours.

* Experience managing or deputising in a children's residential care setting.
