STAR Housing is looking for an ambitious Head of Corporate Services to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation and the services we deliver to our communities across Shropshire.
The role
As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you'll provide strategic leadership across a broad and influential portfolio, including:
- IT and Business Transformation (including performance)
- Communications and Marketing
- Customer Engagement and Complaints
- Governance, Risk, Procurement and Contract Management
- Executive and Corporate Support Services
Working closely with the Corporate Director and Head of Finance, you'll drive improvement, innovation and high performance, ensuring STAR delivers excellent, customer-focused housing services now and in the future.
What you'll be doing
- Leading complex corporate services and transformation programmes
- Advising EMT, SMT and the Board on best practice, risk and governance
- Strengthening customer engagement and stakeholder relationships
- Driving performance through robust data, dashboards and reporting
- Ensuring strong financial management, value for money and compliance
- Championing STAR as a key place-shaper within the county
About you
You'll be a confident, forward-thinking leader with:
- Senior-level experience across corporate or public sector services
- A strong track record in transformation, governance and performance
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A passion for customer-focused services and continuous improvement
- The ability to lead, inspire and empower high-performing teams
