Do you have strong experience working with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and ADHD? Are you confident in managing behaviour positively while creating a structured, nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed?

Academics is seeking a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate SEN Teacher to support SEN and mainstream schools across Keighley. This flexible opportunity is ideal for a teacher who thrives on building relationships, adapting learning to individual needs, and making a genuine difference in the lives of pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support.

The Role - SEN Teacher (SEMH/ADHD Specialist)

As an SEN Teacher with Academics, you will:

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs and ADHD
Implement behaviour strategies that promote regulation, engagement, and positive outcomes
Create a structured, consistent, and nurturing classroom environment
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies
Support pupils on EHCPs, ensuring targets are met through personalised approaches
Build strong, trusting relationships that foster emotional resilience and self-confidence
Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and barriersWhat We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH and ADHD
Strong behaviour management skills rooted in understanding and consistency
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
Ability to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
