To be successful for this English Teacher position, you will:

* Ideally hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).

* Have previous experience working as an English Teacher or within a Secondary School setting.

* Have some understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.

* Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.

* Have a passion for working with young people.

Essential Requirements

As a minimum, all applicants must have:

* Ideally hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).

* a minimum of 3 months experience working as a teacher or within a Secondary School setting.

* A positive approach to child development, managing behaviour and be passionate about your area of expertise which is evident in your teaching.

* Applicants will be subject to pre-employment checks and should hold current DBS check registered to the update service.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in English or related field
- Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
