working four days on 06:00-18:00 and four days off, followed by four nights on 18:00-06:00 and four off.

salary: £48,300 including shift allowance

you will lead a production line team where you will be responsible for ensuring shift activity takes place in a safe and compliant environment, where all colleagues are engaged in Key Performance Indicator (KPI) achievement and continual improvement results in exceeding customer satisfaction..

REQUIREMENTS: Essential Requirements:

Previous manufacturing experience in a FMCG and target driven environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead, build relationships, delegate when appropriate and organise work groups in an improvement driven environment.
A strong communicator - ability to communicate in English in written, listening and spoken form.
Data analysis and strong problem solving (numeric interpretation skills).
Basic engineering knowledge that allows contribution to improvement and fault diagnostics.
Self-motivated / self-starter.
An excellent organiser of all resources - people, plant, budget.
Ability to coach and manage individual performance and development.
Able to take ownership of issues and work on own initiative, without management supervision.
Ability to drive and motivate the team to achieve the highest standards and surpass attainment of target KPIs as identified by the Manufacturing Manager.
Flexibility when required to ensure business needs are met

A key requirement for the position is resource planning for the shift and looks at short, medium and longer-term requirements that are considered and signed off with the Production Manager. The Shift Leader is the primary shift process knowledge holder, who constantly reviews the skill set of your Area Owners to identify and deliver the appropriate development that enables continual improvement. You will be expected to spend most of your time with the team developing their skills and understanding how they work, to gain the most potential from them to drive performance and KPI achievement.

Enforcing safety in all areas of the factory
Enforcing compliance in all aspects of food manufacture and customer requirements
Efficiency monitoring at each stage of the production line to include: monitoring waste & re-work and monitoring downtime and ensuring correct reason tree allocation of this indicators
Enforcing Autonomous Maintenance (Along the line) including:
Planning and conducting AM events in line with site road map
Follow up actions of AM events captured and closed out in a timely manner
Forward planning of AM events in line with site road map
Making decisions based on information provided by Operatives/Area Owners
Validating accuracy of information on MES recorded by Operatives/Area Owners and correcting where necessary
Coaching and training Operatives/Area Owners to make the correct decision first time including recording of downtime and waste
Coaching, guiding and directing Operatives to promote a self-managing team
Monitoring performance and providing continuous feedback for development and growth
Conducting RCA methods to completion utilising site documents
