NextGen Teachers are currently working with a SEN school based in Leeds who are seeking to recruit a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant who is seeking a full-time position working with Neurodiverse children.

The SEN school caters for children from the age of 4 - 16+ years and cater for children with a range of Special Educational needs including: ASC, ADHD, MLD, VI, HI, SLD, PMLD, SEMH and Communication needs. There are also children with Physical and Medical needs.

The school are looking for passionate and enthusiastic candidates who have knowledge and experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.

The role of a SEN Learning Support Assistant will be to:

• Support pupils in the classroom on a day to day basis with a range of complex needs
• Support pupils who an non-verbal with communication needs
• Support pupils with sensory learning
• Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and Intervention
• Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans
• Supporting and managing the behaviour of the students
