Teach Now UK is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in SEMH needs. This full-time, permanent position is based in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barking & Dagenham. The role is perfect for someone who thrives on making a difference and is eager to support children in reaching their full potential.

About the SEN TA Role:

• Work closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students with SEMH needs, providing tailored 1:1 and small group support

• Assist in implementing personalised behaviour and learning plans, fostering a supportive and structured environment.

• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver effective interventions.

• Encourage emotional resilience, social skills, and confidence in students, helping them engage positively with their learning.

What We're Looking For: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)

• Experience working with children with SEMH needs or similar behavioural challenges.

• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and emotional support techniques.

• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children.

• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

• A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
