We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client (a rapidly transforming business within the food manufacturing industry) for an experienced and strategic Demand Planner. This is a key role within a dynamic supply chain team, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's ability to meet customer demands efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Demand Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the business can meet customer needs while optimizing stock levels. Responsibilities include:

* Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with business plans and market dynamics.

* Inventory Optimisation: Ensure optimal stock levels by balancing customer demand with supply capabilities, minimising stockouts, and reducing excess inventory.

* Data Analysis: Analyse large data sets to identify trends and variances, providing insights that influence business decisions.

* Performance Monitoring: Track forecast accuracy, demand variations, and key supply chain metrics, and take corrective actions when necessary.

* Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy and improve the efficiency of supply chain operations.

What We're Looking For:

* Proven experience as a Demand Planner or in a similar supply chain role.

* Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and forecasting techniques.

* Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with multiple departments.

* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

* Advanced proficiency in Excel and demand planning software (experience with MRP / ERP is a plus).
