One of Park Avenue's longest standing clients in Warwickshire is looking for a Principal Temporary Accommodation Officer to join them for an initial six-month contract.

There's a good chance this will be extended, especially as the council is in the middle of a restructure. You'd be stepping in as the TA team lead, managing three Temporary Accommodation Support Officers and one Private Rented Sector Officer.

The role covers a mix of responsibilities, including reviewing current temporary accommodation, responding to Freedom of Information requests, overseeing health and safety, and more. Because the council holds its own housing stock, things are a bit more hands-on than in councils that outsource. If you've worked in a stock-holding authority before, that'll be a real plus.

Desirable experience:

Leading a small team (ideally within TA)
A solid understanding of the legislation around temporary accommodation
Procuring properties
Using LocataYou'd be working 10am to 6pm each day, as the council tends to see more approaches later in the day. It's a hybrid setup with a competitive hourly rate.
