Ledger Administrator (FTC)

We are ideally looking for highly capable and successfully recent Graduates with a long term interest in developing a career in Accounting & Finance.

Ledger Administrator Role
During the FTC you will be engaged in activities relating to :

* Registering and scanning invoices onto the ERP system.
* Invoice processing and matching of purchase orders against goods received notes or dispatch notes.
* Obtaining invoice approval/authorisation on a timely basis.
* Correctly matching invoices against purchase orders/sales charges on the ERP system or in the case of non-matched invoices coding to correct general ledger code and cost centre.
* Monitor and control of unpaid invoices.
* Filing of invoices, purchase orders and goods received/dispatch notes.
* Monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
* Maintain the query file.
* Adhere to payment and period end deadlines.
* Communicate effectively with suppliers at all levels within the business.
* Reconciliation of supplier accounts ensuring paid items are matched and cleared and, in the event of debit balances, ensuring refunds are obtained.
* Liaising with suppliers and business centres to resolve any issues.

Requirements for the Ledger Administrator Role

* Intermediate/Advanced PC Literate - Word, Excel, Data Entry.
* Minimum 2:2 from a high reputation university otherwise 2:1 minimum entry requirement
* Desire to develop career in Accounts & Finance
* Excellent communication and organisation skills.
* Accurate, numerate with good attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* A strong team player.

For the right candidate, depending on demonstrated work performance, agility and proactive attitude to make a difference, there may be opportunities for a subsequent permanent contract with potential for study package in due course.
