SLEEPING NIGHT CARER

£82.00 - £92.00 PER SHIFT

An engaging sociable 7-year-old boy who wants to be involved in every aspect of his family life is seeking Sleeping Night Carer's within his family home.  Martin has cerebral palsy and needs support with walking or has the use of a wheelchair, but he loves to chat and takes an interest in the news and what is happening in the world

With a love of music Martin is just learning the keyboard, but he also loves to bake, play board games, doing crafts, playing on his ipad and watching films.  He is at his happiest being involved in family life.  He is also able to understand and speak some Croatian, so the ability to speak Croatian would be an advantage although not essential.

Martin has a brilliant sense of humour and loves company, although Martin sleeps well he does need reassurance.

As part of the Sleeping Night Carer role you will be required to provide personal care, additional hours are also available to assist with getting him ready for school and escorting him to school. 

Hourly Rates

Monday to Friday        £82.00 per shift

Saturday & Sunday    £92.00 per shift

Bank holidays             1.5 x shift rate

Sleeping Night Carer shifts available:

This is a new team, and we are seeking Sleeping Night Carer's who can cover the following shifts (please state on your application which hours you are applying for)

Monday to Sunday                  22.00pm - 7.15am

This role is currently temporary for 6 months with the possibility of the role being made permanent

Experience & Qualities required for the role:

  • A Support Worker who has experience of working with children with physical and learning disabilities.
  • Experience of working Sleeping Night
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak Croatian would be an advantage (Croatian is his second language).
  • Understanding of the need for close observation at all times monitoring health and well-being.
