Job Description

A GREAT CAREER GROWTH OPPORTUNITY FOR A BILINGUAL (ENGLISH/SPANISH) HR GENERALIST WITH MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE

Our client is a growing global manufacturer that needs to add a sharp, articulate bilingual (English/Spanish) HR Generalist to their team as soon as possible. The company is experiencing "typical" growing pains and looking to the HR Generalist to help identify training and development gaps, then develop and implement training programs that will upgrade/improve the overall training experience improve employee development, career advancement and retention. In addition to the training and development experience, some key responsibilities of the HR Generalist are:

  • Provide direction, coaching and counsel regarding human resource aspects of plant operations in a non-union manufacturing environment
  • Offer guidance and assistance to employees on day-to-day employee relations’ matters or questions
  • Provide accurate and consistent HR policy interpretation and administration including the coordination of any employee recognition or corrective/disciplinary actions
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruiting for exempt, non-exempt and hourly positions including the scheduling and conducting of interviews, hiring and orientation

Must Haves:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing experience – any industry however food or consumer goods experience is ideal
  • 5+ years stable HR experience and success as a Generalist, Coordinator or similar role
  • Experience in company training and development, presenting to an audience, able to convey information in an engaging manner
  • A local or commutable candidate
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card)

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

  • An Understanding of and experience utilizing HR best practices and strategies that help to improve the employee experience
  • Prior experience working with benefits administration, HRIS database, payroll, timekeeping, PTO tracking, FMLA and other LOA tracking, annual performance evaluation processes, WC administration (OSHA logs), safety administration andmaintenance of personnel records
  • Ability to effectively communicate HR policies, practices, processes and guidelines to all levels of the organization
  • Professional experience presenting to an audience, able to convey complex information in an engaging manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
