Heavy Plant Fitter

Location: Snetterton, Norwich and travel around to clients construction sites
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm

7.5 tonne supplied so drivers licence needed

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team in Snetterton. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of construction plant diggers and machinery — both in our state-of-the-art workshop and on-site as required.

Fabrication and diagnostic experience are desirable but not essential.

A full UK driving licence is required, and a Cat C1 licence is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Repair, maintain, and diagnose a variety of heavy plant machinery and small tools

Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance

*

Weld, assemble, and fabricate metal components

*

Operate power tools for cutting, shaping, and repairing materials

*

Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently

Skills & Experience

*

Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability

*

Proficiency with hand and power tools

*

Experience in welding and fabrication (desirable)

*

Understanding of plant diagnostics and electronic systems (advantageous)

*

Good communication and teamwork skills
