Job Profile for Mechanical Design Engineer - SW(phone number removed)

Our client, a growing and multi-disciplined Construction Consultancy, based in Portsmouth, are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them due to continued growth. Their work sectors include public sector projects, defence, security clearance and professional services. Projects range from a small fitout through to large newbuild schemes and framework projects. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be completing Design & Project Management Services on the following; Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Comfort Cooling, AutoCAD, DHW Systems, Public Health Engineering.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have prior experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer within Building Services. Ideally a member of CIBSE or will be working towards achieving member status, this isn't essential and can be discussed. Candidates from Intermediate level through to senior will be considered for this position.

This particular client has experienced strong growth over the past 2 years' and are looking at over double the turnover of last year, onboarding numerous new clients, with plans to open additional offices before then end of the year. Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements

Prior experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer within Building Services
Hold a relevant qualification
Ideally a UK passport holder for security clearance reasons (not essential / can be discussed)
Knowledgeable in specification writing and project-based works
Based within commuting distance of Portsmouth
