Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (including Sleep Ins and depending on experience)

Our client provides safe, nurturing and high-quality residential environments where children and young people can thrive. They are looking for a Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring high standards of care, promoting positive outcomes, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Deputy Manager plays a key role in leading and supporting the residential team and contributing to the development and wellbeing of the children.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in leading, motivating, and supervising a team of residential staff.
Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments for all children.
Oversee daily routines, safeguarding, and welfare of children.
Support recruitment, induction, training, and performance management of staff.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
Occasionally participate in sleep-in shifts or on-call duties as required.

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Experience in a children's residential setting.
Supervisory or leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
